This document governs your use of the Talentorial website (www.talentorial.com) and the Talentorial mobile apps for iOS and Android (together, the "Platform"). It has two parts:
- Part A – Terms & Conditions and Code of Conduct: the rules for using the Platform.
- Part B – Privacy Policy: how we collect, use, share and protect your personal data, including the data we share with third-party AI providers, universities and employers.
By ticking the box at sign-up, you confirm that you have read and accept Part A and Part B. Separately, the app will ask for your explicit permission before any data is sent to a third-party AI provider (see section B3) and before identity verification (see section B4).
Part A – Terms & Conditions and Code of Conduct
A1. Terms & Conditions for Career Aspirants
- Eligibility: You must be 16 years or older and actively seeking career guidance or mentorship. If you are under 18, you may use the platform only with the verifiable consent of your parent or lawful guardian.
- Account Use: You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
- Accuracy of Information: All information you provide must be true and up to date.
- Respectful Behaviour: You agree to communicate respectfully with mentors and follow platform guidelines.
- No Guarantees: Mentorship, assessments and AI feedback do not guarantee job placements, internships or admissions.
- Sharing With Universities and Employers: If you are 18 or over, employers can see your career profile when you apply for their roles or match roles they post. If your university enrols you or you link your account to it, your university can see your progress and results. Section B5 of the Privacy Policy (Part B) explains exactly what is shared and how to stop it.
- Use of Mentor Materials: Materials shared by mentors are for your personal, non-commercial development only and must not be copied, distributed or published without the mentor's permission (see section A9).
- Termination: The platform may suspend or terminate your account for any violation of these Terms.
- Privacy: Your information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (Part B).
A2. Terms & Conditions for Mentors
- Eligibility: You must be at least 21 years old and have relevant professional experience in the field you mentor in.
- Volunteer Agreement: Unless otherwise agreed, mentors offer their time on a volunteer basis.
- Professional Conduct: Mentors agree to maintain professional boundaries and provide genuine career guidance.
- No Commercial Promotions: Mentors may not use the platform to promote services, products or other businesses unless explicitly allowed.
- Data Privacy: Mentors may not misuse mentee data or share it outside the platform, and must use it only to provide mentoring through the platform.
- Liability Disclaimer: The platform is not liable for decisions made by aspirants based on a mentor's advice.
- Content Sharing: Mentors keep ownership of material they create and share, and grant Talentorial and mentees the licences described in section A9.
- Confidentiality: Mentors agree to keep aspirant data confidential.
- Mentor Rewards: Mentor compensation, phantom equity and rewards are governed by the Mentor Participation Policy
- No Recording of Sessions: Mentor sessions are not recorded by the platform. Mentors and mentees must not record sessions by any other means without the other person's consent. Only the written feedback exchanged through the platform is kept.
- Removal of Access: The platform may remove mentors who are inactive, receive complaints or breach guidelines.
A3. Monetary Rewards
Mentors may receive monetary benefits or honorariums based on their active participation, availability and engagement with mentees. The exact terms of these benefits are governed by a separate Mentor Participation Policy provided at onboarding or when an agreement is made.
- Eligibility Criteria: As set out in the Mentor Participation Policy.
- Payment Process: Payments (if applicable) will be processed monthly or quarterly through the agreed method (for example bank transfer or digital wallet). Payments may be subject to tax and reporting laws in your jurisdiction.
- Non-Employment Status: Receiving monetary benefits does not create an employment relationship. Mentors act as independent contributors, and Talentorial is not responsible for employment benefits such as insurance, taxes or pensions.
- Changes to Compensation Policy: The platform may modify or discontinue the compensation policy at any time with prior notice.
A4. Code of Conduct
- Respect Others: Treat everyone on the platform with respect and professionalism.
- Honesty: Provide accurate information in your profile and communications.
- Safe Environment: No harassment, hate speech, discriminatory, sexual or abusive behaviour, or objectionable content, will be tolerated.
- Confidentiality: Do not share personal or sensitive information received through mentorship sessions.
- No Exploitation: Do not solicit money or favours from users.
- No Recording Without Consent: Do not record, screenshot or share sessions or other users' content outside the platform's own features without their consent.
- Compliance: Follow all platform guidelines, local laws and regulations.
- Reporting & Blocking: You can report a user or content, or block a user, through the "Report" / "Block" options in the app or by emailing support@talentorial.com. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content and suspend or remove users who break this Code.
A5. AI Features
- AI-Powered Features: Talentorial uses AI to help match mentors and mentees, evaluate aptitude and attitude assessments, analyse CVs and review mock interview performance.
- Third-Party AI Providers: CV Analysis uses Google Gemini, an AI service provided by Google, and your CV content is sent to it for analysis. Mock Interview uses Deepgram, an AI service provided by Deepgram, Inc., which turns your live voice into text and gives the AI interviewer its voice, and Google Gemini, which decides the interview questions and analyses your interview video. Identity verification uses Amazon Web Services, which checks your live selfie and matches it to the photo on your ID, and Google Gemini, which reads the details on your ID. Section B3 of the Privacy Policy (Part B) explains what is shared, how each provider handles it and how long it is kept.
- Explicit Consent: We will not send your data to Google Gemini, Deepgram, Amazon Web Services or any other third-party AI provider unless you have first given explicit permission on the in-app consent screen for that feature. You may decline. If you do, that feature will not run, but you can keep using the rest of the platform. You can withdraw your consent at any time as described in the Privacy Policy (Part B).
- Non-Human Evaluation: Some feedback, scores and recommendations are generated automatically without direct human review. There is currently no human review of AI-generated results.
- Accuracy & Limitations: AI systems may not always give accurate, complete or fully personalised insights. AI-generated results are for guidance only, and Talentorial does not guarantee their accuracy.
- Fairness: Our AI tools are designed to avoid bias. If you think an AI-generated match, evaluation or recommendation was inaccurate or unfair, please submit feedback through "Feedback on AI" in your dashboard. We monitor all submissions to detect patterns, improve fairness and make future results more accurate.
- Liability: To the extent permitted by law, Talentorial is not liable for actions you take based on AI-generated insights.
- Identity Verification for Mock Interviews: Before a Mock Interview, you must verify your identity with a government-issued photo ID and a live selfie of your face so that the assessment can be proctored. You agree that you will verify only with your own valid ID and that the Mock Interview will be taken by you and not by anyone else. Aadhaar is optional; other listed IDs are accepted. ID data is used only for verification, is processed only by Amazon Web Services and Google Gemini for that purpose, is never shared with universities, employers, mentors or other users, and is handled as described in section B4 of the Privacy Policy (Part B). Attempts to impersonate another person or to use another person's ID will result in immediate termination of your account.
A6. Privacy & Data Protection
Part B of this document is our Privacy Policy. It explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with (including third-party AI providers such as Google Gemini, Deepgram and Amazon Web Services, and universities and employers), where it is stored, how long we keep it, and your rights. If there is any conflict between Part A and Part B on how personal data is handled, Part B prevails.
A7. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds
All payments are processed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless a different currency is shown at checkout. Refunds for paid subscriptions or course purchases are handled under Talentorial's Refund Policy on our website. Purchases made through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies. Users are responsible for applicable taxes and transaction fees in their jurisdiction. If payments are not made on time, access may be suspended until dues are cleared.
A8. Account Suspension, Termination & Deletion
Talentorial may suspend or terminate an account for misconduct, fraud, data misuse or violation of these Terms. Where applicable, users will be notified by email before termination. You may delete your account at any time in the app at Settings > Account > Delete Account or by emailing support@talentorial.com. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy (Part B). Payment and transaction records are kept only for as long as the law requires.
A9. Intellectual Property
- Talentorial's property: The platform, its software, design, AI models, assessments, question banks, and content created by Talentorial, and the Talentorial name and logo, belong to Talentorial or its licensors. You may use them only to access the platform as these Terms allow.
- You own your content: You keep ownership of the content you create, upload or share on the platform ("Your Content"). This includes your profile, CV, messages and feedback, and the materials mentors share. Talentorial does not claim ownership of Your Content.
- Licence to Talentorial: For content you share with other users or publish on the platform (for example mentor materials, feedback, posts, reviews and session resources), you grant Talentorial a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to host, store, use, copy, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish and display it, and to create derivative works from it. We use this licence to operate, improve and promote the platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. It continues only where (a) others have already received or used the content, (b) we must keep it by law, or (c) it remains in backups for a reasonable period.
- Personal content: Your CV, ID, interview recordings, transcripts and assessment answers are used only to provide the services to you, and parts of your profile are shared with universities and employers only as described in section B5 of Part B (Privacy Policy). Your ID, interview recordings and full transcripts are never shared with them. We will not publish this content or use it for promotion without your separate consent.
- Mentees' use of mentor materials: Mentors grant mentees a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use materials shared with them for their own career development only.
- Commissioned work: If Talentorial pays or commissions a mentor or contributor to create specific content (for example courses, assessments or question banks), ownership of that content will be set out in a separate written agreement signed by both parties. If that agreement assigns ownership to Talentorial, that agreement governs.
- Your promise: You confirm that you own, or have permission to share, Your Content, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- Feedback about the platform: If you send us suggestions or ideas about the platform, we may use them without any obligation to you.
A10. Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure
All users, mentors and partners must keep proprietary information, business data and any confidential materials obtained through Talentorial strictly confidential. Unauthorised sharing or misuse may result in immediate termination and legal action.
A11. Liability & Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, Talentorial is not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Talentorial, its affiliates, employees and partners from any claims or liabilities resulting from misuse of the platform.
A12. Third-Party Content & Links
Talentorial may link to external courses or partners. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party materials. You use these resources at your own discretion.
A13. Force Majeure
Talentorial is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including technical failures, natural disasters, cyberattacks or acts of government.
A14. Communication Consent
By registering on Talentorial, you agree to receive essential communications, including updates, notifications and policy changes, by email or in-app alerts. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
A15. Mobile App Terms (Apple App Store)
If you download our app from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:
- These Terms are between you and Talentorial only, not Apple. Talentorial, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- You may use the app only on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Talentorial, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance and consumer protection claims, and any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms (for example, your mobile data agreement) when using the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
A16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms will first be raised with our Grievance Officer, and we will try to resolve it amicably within 30 days. If it is not resolved, it will be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in Mumbai, India, and conducted in English. The arbitral award will be final and binding. Subject to arbitration, the courts at same city will have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
A17. Changes to This Document
Talentorial may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the platform or by email. If you continue to use the platform after an update, you accept the revised Terms. However, changes to how your data is shared with third-party AI providers will only take effect after you give consent again in the app.
A18. Contact

Part B – Privacy Policy
Welcome to Talentorial. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we collect and use it, who we share it with (including third-party artificial intelligence (AI) providers, universities and employers), how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Talentorial website (www.talentorial.com) and the Talentorial mobile apps for iOS and Android (together, the "Platform").
Talentorial Software & AI Services LLC – SPC, PO Box 113621, Abu Dhabi, UAE ("Talentorial", "we", "us") decides how and why your personal data is processed. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the "Data Fiduciary". We process personal data in line with the DPDP Act and its Rules, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the data protection laws of the other countries where we offer the Platform, including, where applicable, UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021.
AI data sharing at a glance: Three features send your data to third-party AI providers. CV Analysis uses Google Gemini (operated by Google). Mock Interview uses Deepgram (operated by Deepgram, Inc.) for your live voice, and Google Gemini for the interview conversation and the interview video. Identity verification uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to check your live selfie and match it to the photo on your ID, and Google Gemini to read the details on your ID. Before any data is sent, the app shows a consent screen for that feature that names the providers and explains what will be shared. Nothing is sent unless you tap Continue. If you choose Cancel, nothing is sent and you can keep using the rest of the Platform. Your government ID is never shared with universities, employers, mentors or other users. Section B3 has the details.
B1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
| Category | What it includes | How we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Account & contact data | Name, email address, phone number, password (stored in encrypted/hashed form), account type (career aspirant or mentor) | You provide it when you register |
| Profile & career data | Educational background, career interests, work experience, skills, profile photo | You provide it in your profile |
| CV / resume content | The CV file you upload and the text and information in it (for example employment history, education, skills and contact details) | You upload it for CV Analysis or to your profile |
| Identity verification data | An image of a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, driving licence, passport or Emirates ID), the details read from it (such as your name and date of birth), a short live selfie video of your face, and the verification result | You provide it before a Mock Interview (see section B4) |
| Mock interview data | Your live voice, video of your answers, the questions asked, and the transcript, scores and feedback generated from them | Recorded through your device camera and microphone when you start a Mock Interview |
| Mentor session data | Session bookings, attendance, and the written feedback exchanged between mentor and mentee. Mentor sessions are not recorded and no video, audio or transcripts of them are stored. | Created when you use mentoring features |
| Assessment data | Your answers to aptitude, attitude and skills assessments, and the results | You provide it when you take an assessment |
| Jobs and applications | The jobs and internships you apply for, your application status and outcomes (for example interview, internship or offer) | Created when you apply for a role, and updated by you, the employer or your university |
| University partner data | If your university enrols you through a Talentorial partnership: details such as your name, university email address, programme and year of study | Provided by your university |
| Communications | Messages, feedback (including "Feedback on AI" submissions) and support requests | You send them through the Platform or by email |
| Payment data | Transaction records, plan purchased, amount and date. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment providers (Razorpay, Stripe or Apple In-App Purchase); we do not store full card numbers | Created when you make a purchase |

| Cookies (website only) | Cookie and similar identifiers | Set by our website; see section B12 |
Device permissions. The app asks for camera and microphone access only when you start identity verification, a Mock Interview or a video session with a mentor. It asks for photo/file access only when you upload a CV, an ID or a photo. You can withdraw these permissions at any time in your device settings.
B2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal data only for the following purposes:
- To provide the Platform: creating and managing your account, matching mentors and mentees, scheduling and running sessions, and delivering assessments, CV Analysis and Mock Interview feedback.
- To connect you with universities and employers: sharing your career profile with employers when you apply for a role or match roles they are hiring for (if you are 18 or over), and with your university if it enrols you through a Talentorial partnership or you link your account to it, so they can support your career readiness and placement (see section B5).
- To provide AI-powered features: generating CV feedback, mock interview evaluations and recommendations, with your explicit consent where third-party AI is used (see section B3).
- To verify identity for proctored assessments: confirming that the person taking a Mock Interview is the account holder, with the help of our identity verification providers (see section B4).
- To improve and secure the Platform: analytics, troubleshooting, fraud prevention and keeping the service safe.
- To communicate with you: service messages, updates, policy changes and support replies. We send marketing only if you have opted in.
- To process payments and keep the financial records required by law.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent or, where the law allows, for legitimate uses such as meeting legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising. The app does not track users across other companies' apps or websites.
B3. AI Features and Sharing With Third-Party AI
B3.1 Features that send data to a third-party AI provider
| Feature | Personal data sent | Provider and purpose |
|---|---|---|
| CV Analysis | The content of your CV/resume (text and file), including any personal details it contains, such as your name, contact details, education and employment history | Google Gemini (Google LLC / Google Cloud), to analyse your CV and generate feedback and improvement suggestions |
| Mock Interview (voice) | Your live voice during the interview | Deepgram (Deepgram, Inc.), to turn your speech into text and to give the AI interviewer its voice. Deepgram does not receive your video |
| Mock Interview (conversation) | The text of the interview conversation: the questions asked and your transcribed answers | Google Gemini (Google LLC / Google Cloud), to decide the next interview question and to generate scores and feedback |
| Mock Interview (video) | Video recording of your interview answers, stored in our Google Cloud storage | Google Gemini (Google LLC / Google Cloud), to analyse the video (for example presence, body language and engagement) as part of your scores and feedback |
| Identity verification (face) | A short live selfie video of your face and the photo on your ID | Amazon Web Services (AWS), to check that the selfie is of a live person and that your face matches the photo on your ID |
| Identity verification (ID details) | An image of your government-issued photo ID | Google Gemini (Google LLC / Google Cloud), to read the details printed on your ID (such as your name and date of birth) so we can confirm the ID belongs to you |
No other feature sends personal data to a third-party AI provider. Mentor sessions are not assessed by AI. One check stays fully on your device: during a Mock Interview, software on your device confirms that a face is on camera, and that data never leaves your device. Your government ID and identity verification data are used only for identity verification and are never shared with universities, employers, mentors or other users.
B3.2 Your explicit permission
Before any of your data is sent to an AI provider, the app shows a consent screen. It names the providers for that feature (Google Gemini for CV Analysis; Deepgram and Google Gemini for Mock Interview; Amazon Web Services and Google Gemini for identity verification) and explains what will be sent and why. Your data is only sent if you tap Continue. If you tap Cancel, nothing is sent, that feature will not run, and you can still use all other features of the Platform. The consent screen appears each time you start a CV Analysis, identity verification or Mock Interview.
B3.3 How our AI providers handle your data
These providers act as our service providers ("Data Processors" under the DPDP Act) and process the data we send only to provide their service to us.
Google (Gemini and Google Cloud) – CV Analysis, Mock Interview conversation and video, and reading ID details: We use Google's paid Gemini service through our own Google Cloud account, and we store Mock Interview videos in our Google Cloud storage. Under Google's terms for paid services, Google does not use the data we send to train or improve its AI models. Google may keep it for a limited period only to detect abuse and meet legal requirements, and then deletes it.
Deepgram (Mock Interview voice): Deepgram processes your live voice to turn it into text and to produce the AI interviewer's voice. Deepgram does not receive your video and does not pass your data to any other AI provider. We have opted out of Deepgram's Model Improvement Program, so Deepgram does not use your recordings to train its models, and Deepgram does not keep your recordings after processing.
Amazon Web Services (identity verification): AWS checks that your selfie is of a live person and compares it with the photo on your ID, and uses these images only to give us the verification result. We have opted out of AWS using this data to develop or improve its services.
Google, Deepgram and AWS may process this data outside India, including in the United States.
B3.4 Talentorial's own processing
We also use our own algorithms to support mentor-mentee matching, assessment scoring and platform analytics. These use your profile, assessment and usage data and do not send personal data to third-party AI providers.
B3.5 Automated results
Some feedback, scores and recommendations are generated automatically without human review. They are guidance only. They do not guarantee job placements, internships or admissions. If you think an AI result is inaccurate or unfair, tell us through "Feedback on AI" in your dashboard or at support@talentorial.com.
B3.6 Withdrawing your consent
You can withdraw your consent to third-party AI processing at any time in any of these ways:
- tap Cancel on the consent screen the next time you use the feature;
- email support@talentorial.com and ask us to stop AI processing and delete your CV Analysis, Mock Interview and identity verification data; or
- delete your account (see section B8).
After you withdraw, we will not send any further data to the AI provider. Withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before it.
B4. Identity Verification for Mock Interviews
To keep our assessments fair and properly proctored, we verify that the person taking a Mock Interview is the account holder before the interview starts.
- What we collect: an image of one government-issued photo ID that you choose (Aadhaar, driving licence, passport or Emirates ID), a short live selfie video of your face, and the details read from your ID.
- How we verify: Amazon Web Services (AWS) checks that the selfie is of a live person (a "liveness check") and compares your face with the photo on your ID. Google Gemini reads the details printed on your ID, such as your name and date of birth, so we can confirm the ID belongs to you. Both act only as our service providers (see section B3.3). No other identity-verification company is involved.
- During the interview: a check that runs only on your device confirms that a face is on camera. This data does not leave your device.
- Purpose limitation: we use this data only for identity verification and assessment proctoring. We do not use it for any other purpose.
- No other sharing: apart from AWS and Google Gemini for the checks above, we do not share your ID or verification images with anyone. This includes Deepgram, universities, employers, mentors, other users and advertisers. Universities and employers may only see that your identity has been verified, never your ID.
- Aadhaar: Aadhaar is optional; you can use any other listed ID instead. If you use Aadhaar, please upload a masked Aadhaar (only the last four digits visible). We do not collect or store your full Aadhaar number, and we do not carry out Aadhaar authentication with UIDAI.
- Retention: we delete the ID and face images within 4 days after verification. We keep only a record that verification took place (ID type, date and result).
- Consent: we ask for your consent on screen before verification, and the consent screen names AWS and Google Gemini. If you decline, you can still use the Platform's other features, but you will not be able to take a proctored Mock Interview.
B5. How We Share Your Information
We share personal data only as described below:
Other users: Mentors and mentees can see the profile details needed for matching and sessions, and the feedback exchanged between them. Mentors can see the information you choose to share with them. Mentors never see your ID or verification data.
Employers: if you are 18 or over, employers on the Platform can see your career profile when you apply for a job or internship they post, and when your profile matches a role they are hiring for. They can see your profile and career data, CV, assessment results, readiness and Role Fit scores, badges, Mock Interview scores and feedback summary, and whether your identity has been verified. Your name and contact details are shared when you apply. Employers use this data only to assess and shortlist candidates for their roles.
Universities: if your university enrols you through a Talentorial partnership, or you link your account to your university, your university can see your activity on the Platform, assessment results, readiness scores, skill gaps, Mock Interview scores and feedback summary, courses and badges, and your job applications and outcomes. Universities use this data to support your career readiness and placement and to prepare their own reports, such as placement and accreditation reports. Universities may also receive reports that combine data from many students and do not identify anyone.
What universities and employers never receive: your government ID or verification images, Mock Interview video or audio recordings, full interview transcripts, mentor session feedback, private messages, payment data, or device and usage data. We do not share the profiles of users under 18 with employers (see section B10).
Your consent and choices: by accepting this Policy, you consent to the sharing with universities and employers described above. You can ask us to stop at any time by emailing support@talentorial.com. We will stop sharing from then on and ask the university or employer to delete the data they received.
Service providers: These companies help us run the Platform. They act as our Data Processors and may only use your data to provide services to us:
| Service provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Hosting the Platform and storing data, in India; identity verification (liveness check and face match, see section B4) |
| Google (Gemini and Google Cloud) | AI analysis for CV Analysis, the Mock Interview conversation and video, and reading ID details; storing Mock Interview videos (see sections B3 and B4) |
| Deepgram, Inc. | Speech-to-text and the AI interviewer's voice in Mock Interviews (see section B3) |
| Talentorial | Live video sessions with mentors (sessions are not recorded) |
| Talentorial and AWS | Sending emails, OTPs and push notifications |
| Talentorial | Usage analytics and crash reports |
| Razorpay, Stripe and Apple In-App Purchase | Processing payments and subscriptions |
Legal and safety: Where required by law, court order or a government authority, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, Talentorial or others.
Business transfers: If there is a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
Protection by third parties. We share personal data with service providers (including AI providers), universities and employers only under written agreements. These agreements require them to protect it with the same or equal level of protection as this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, to use it only for the purposes we specify, to keep it confidential and secure, not to share it further, and to delete it when it is no longer needed for that purpose.
B6. Where We Store Data
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers located in India, except Mock Interview videos, which are stored in our Google Cloud storage. As the Platform expands to other countries, we may store or process data in additional locations. If we do, we will update this Policy. Some service providers, including Google, Deepgram and AWS, may process data outside India. We transfer data outside India only as permitted under the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India, and with safeguards that keep your data protected to the standard described in this Policy.
B7. How Long We Keep Your Data
| Data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Account, contact and profile data | For as long as your account is active. Deleted when you delete your account (see section B8) |
| CV / resume and CV Analysis results | Until you delete them or delete your account |
| Government ID and face images | Deleted within 4 days after verification. Only the verification record (ID type, date, result) is kept until you delete your account |
| Mock interview video and audio recordings | Deleted from our systems, including our Google Cloud storage, within a maximum of 4 days |
| Mock interview transcripts, scores and feedback | Until you delete your account |
| Mentor session data | Mentor sessions are not recorded. Bookings and written mentor/mentee feedback are kept until you delete your account |
| Data sent to Google, Deepgram or AWS | Kept by the provider only as described in section B3.3 |
| Data shared with universities and employers | Kept by the university or employer only for as long as needed for the purpose it was shared for, under our agreement with them. When you delete your account or ask us to stop sharing, we stop sharing and ask them to delete it |
| Payment and transaction records | Kept after account deletion for as long as required by tax, accounting and other applicable laws (e.g. 8 years under Indian law) |
| Device, usage and log data | 12 months |
After these periods, we delete or anonymise the data.
B8. Your Rights and Choices
Under the DPDP Act and other applicable laws, you have the right to:
- get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it, and the identities of those we have shared it with;
- correct, complete or update your personal data;
- have your personal data erased;
- withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it (see section B3.6);
- have your grievances addressed by our Grievance Officer; and
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so.
How to delete your account: You can delete your account directly in the app at Settings > Account > Delete Account, or by emailing support@talentorial.com. When you delete your account, we delete your account, profile, CV, assessment, mock interview and other personal data, and we stop sharing your data with universities and employers. We keep only the payment and transaction records we are legally required to retain (see section B7).
To exercise any other right, email support@talentorial.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
B9. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and secure servers. We require our service providers, including AI providers, to apply appropriate security measures.
